Each month, we’re spotlighting a different artist on BPM Supreme and BPM Create. This month, we’ve got DJ D-Wrek, best known as the co-host and resident DJ of the mega-hit improv comedy show “Wild ‘N Out” on MTV and VH1, which is now on its 16th season! From Northern California’s Bay Area, Deric Battiste, a.k.a. D-Wrek, was an integral part of the creation of Wild ‘N Out and has been the DJ/co-host since day one. 

D-Wrek has also been a tour DJ for major hip hop acts, including E-40, Three 6 Mafia, Christina Milian, Aaron Carter, and many others.

“At 13, I knew I was gonna be a B-boy in some capacity,” D-Wrek said.

As part of his Artist Spotlight, D-Wrek put together an exclusive playlist on BPM Supreme: ’90s Backyard BBQ. This playlist delivers all of the old-school vibes with tracks by Biggie, Tupac, Nelly, and more!

“Sometimes I may need a song five minutes before I go on. I can go straight to BPM Supreme and get either a remix version, the radio version, an intro, and things like that – it’s all there,” D-Wrek said.
