Each month, we spotlight a different DJ, producer, or artist on BPM Supreme and BPM Create. December’s featured producer is Jorge Medina, a.k.a. URBØI, from Monterrey, Mexico.

“To me, music is life,” said URBØI.

Getting his start in 2012 under the electronic music duo “Boombox Cartel,” URBØI has signed music with labels such as Mad Decent, OWSLA, and Spinnin’ Records. Over the years, he has worked alongside artists like Diplo, Skrillex, RL Grime, Nick Jonas, DJ Mustard, Guaynaa, Los Claxons, Ghetto Kids, Toy Selectah, and more.

URBØI turns to BPM Create for samples he needs to start making music.

“On BPM Create, I run into sounds that I never imagined would fit in my song,” he said.
