Share

Each month, we’re spotlighting a different artist on BPM Supreme and BPM Create. This month, our featured artist and producer is Erick Orrosquieta, a.k.a. Deorro. From Los Angeles, Deorro began playing local gigs at the age of 14 and producing tracks at 17. He is best known for his chart-topping singles like “Five Hours,” “Five More Hours” with Chris Brown, and “Freak” with Steve Aoki and Diplo. In addition to collaborating with some of the biggest names in the industry, Deorro also manages his own record label, Panda Funk.

“Get out there, put your headphones on, and make the song that’s gonna change your life,” Deorro said.

As part of our artist spotlight, we caught up with the talented artist to hear about the track that changed his career, “Five Hours.” Watch the full breakdown video below where he opens back up his original project file and discusses how the track was made.

As a professional and accomplished producer, Deorro uses the BPM Create sample library to find inspiration for his music productions. You can find some of Deorro’s favorite loops, drums, vocals, and more in his specially curated sound pack. With over 40 hand-selected samples, this pack spans genres like electro house, moombahton, afrobeat, jersey & jungle, reggaeton, pop, Latin pop, and EDM.

“With BPM Create, it’s like you just got set up with the best ingredients, and now it’s so easy to put together a good dish,” Deorro said.
