Announced today, Denon DJ has teamed up with the popular stage/performance set design company, BLCKBOOK, to give Denon DJ Prime Series users the ability to sync lighting, visuals, and SFX precisely with their music. The integration between Denon DJ’s StagelinQ and BLCKBOOK’s Timecode software will deliver an effortless plug and play solution for professional DJs, producers, lighting operators, and VJs looking to create exciting live shows.
“Our StagelinQ protocol opens a whole new world of stunning visual coordination with the music. With BLCKBOOK’s Timecode software as a first great implementation, we are future-proof and taking the visual side to the next level,” said Paul Dakeyne, International Marketing Manager for Denon DJ.
With the Denon DJ Prime Series hardware and Timecode working together, all the elements of the show, such as upcoming tracks, pyro cues, visuals, and beats are coordinated seamlessly, ensuring the best performance in any sized environment. With the Ableton Link integration feature, DJs and producers can connect their set up to any kind of instrument, like drums or keyboards.
Timecode’s three versions:
- Timecode View – for small to medium sized clubs where the DJ, VJ and lighting designer need a visual reference of the artist activity in the DJ booth.
- Timecode Sync – for bigger clubs and DJs who need to sync
their visuals, lights and other show elements through timecode and Ableton link.
- Timecode Live – for the largest touring parties, festival venues and artists that offers all of the
above plus extra synchronization options such as MIDI, OSC timecode, remote player control, multiple views, local intro player and more.
Timecode will be available for download to use with Denon DJ Prime Series hardware beginning today. Let us know what you think about the new integration and stay tuned for more updates coming soon.
