Denon DJ Adds Horizontal Waveform View for PRIME 4

Due to popular demand, Denon DJ has just added a horizontal waveform view in a firmware update to their flagship DJ system, the PRIME 4. Version 1.3.2 is the first significant update to the PRIME 4 since its release in May. Keep reading for more.

With the new waveform view, DJs can now choose between vertical and horizontal waveforms to set their preferred layout on the screen. Users can still pinch the waveform on the display to zoom in and out to show or hide details.

Update 1.3.2 adds workflow and performance-enhancing features as well, including adjustable nudge sensitivity and BPM detection improvement. There is also a new console status bar that can be accessed by swiping down from the top of the display. DJs can access global settings in the console such as quantize or record buttons.

The PRIME 4 is a 4-deck standalone DJ system with a 10-inch touchscreen display. It has a multicore processor, pro mixer section with a variety of effects, dedicated dual-zone output, storage with a built-in 2.5” SATA drive bay, and more. Read our story on its unveiling for more details.

DJs are sure to be happy with the latest update. Plus, the already impressive unit receives firmware updates directly from Denon DJ when they are released.
